Teacher Workshops
Shade Our Schools: Required Teacher Workshop – Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
This workshop will be led by University of Miami researchers studying which plants are best adapted for climate change. During this workshop we will introduce educators to concepts and techniques needed to facilitate the Shade Our Schools Challenge and provide teachers with knowledge and resources needed to successfully carryout this Challenge in the classroom. Space is limited, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for this workshop will close on Wednesday, October 13 at 5:00 pm. REGISTRATION CLOSED.
General Teacher Professional Development Courses
Fairchild offers additional professional development workshops for PreK-12 grade teachers that can support and enhance your participation in The Fairchild Challenge. Workshops focus on botany, ecology, South Florida’s natural environment and more. You may also visit Fairchild’s website to view and use our downloadable teaching modules, including resources and curricula.
