2024-2025 Fairchild Challenge Winners and Highlights

  • Engaged more than 71,000 PreK-12th grade students from 194 schools in across the USA
  • Awarded more than $75,000 in prizes, equipment and garden grants
  • 4 new external collaborations with Miami-Dade County Office of Resilience, Miami-Dade County’s Environmentally Endangered Lands program, MDCPS Green Schools Recognition Program, and Dream in Green
  • Planted 1500 native plants and endangered orchids in schoolyards
  • 585 participating teachers
  • 33 hours of teacher and student workshops and professional developments
  • More than 60 volunteers that judged Challenges and assisted with programming
