For more than 30 years, Gala in the Garden has been Fairchild’s principal fundraising evening, sustaining the education, conservation, and research programs that define the Garden’s work in South Florida.

The Garden Setting

The evening unfolds entirely outdoors, as the Garden shifts from daylight to night. Guests gather along Pandanus Lake, where the air cools and the landscape softens, creating an easy rhythm for conversation, movement, and lingering moments with friends.
As the night deepens, the Garden invites a different kind of intimacy: paths that encourage wandering, open spaces that draw people together, and an atmosphere that lends itself naturally to celebration, dancing, and the quiet romance of being outdoors in a place unlike any other in Miami.

The Purpose

Gala in the Garden is Fairchild’s most important fundraising event of the year. Support from the evening sustains the programs at the heart of Fairchild’s mission: science education reaching hundreds of thousands of students each year, conservation research protecting rare and endangered plants, and citywide initiatives restoring orchids, butterflies, and living gardens throughout Miami.

The scale of Fairchild’s work depends on this evening.
