Saturday, January 29, 2022 | 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Is your mind often turning to worrisome thoughts of the future or anxiously ruminating about the past?  Are you quick to react to events and stimuli around you—rather than respond with clarity and compassion?  Does the frenzied pace of life amid today’s uncertainty serve you and those around you?

To experience a greater sense of well-being and enhance their attention, many educators, corporate executives, athletes, healthcare professionals, children, and parents are learning about and practicing mindfulness.  What is mindfulness?  How does one get started with the practice?  And how in the world does one find the time? Join us for an introduction to the practice of mindfulness.

Instructor bio: Rosi Lozada is a long-time member of the Garden, a professor at FIU College of Law, and a mindfulness facilitator.  Professor Lozada trained with UCLA’s  Mindful Awareness Research Center at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.  She is a member of the International Mindfulness Teachers Association.  Her bio and CV are available here.
