Tea, when consumed as a beverage on its own, contains a delicious array of aromas, textures and flavors. When we pair tea with a pure food, like chocolate, tea launches our senses into a sweet paradise. The two culinary delights compliment each other perfectly, enhancing the flavors of both the chocolate and the tea, taking tea tasting to the next level.
We sample a variety of chocolates, paired with tea selections that enhance and compliment one another’s best attributes. In addition, we will explore the ritual of cacao ceremony and how it relates to the ritual of tea.
Adrienne of Admari Tea will guide us through several mindfully sourced teas from China, Taiwan, Japan and India all perfectly paired with several types of chocolate. You will also taste a delightful, thick Cacao Chai Elixir, combining both tea and chocolate in one beverage (students will go home with recipe). Experience this sweet, and surprising look into the world of tea and chocolate.
A ticket to a class grants you entry to A Festival of Chocolate at no additional charge. Classes have limited capacity, and day-of sales may not be possible.
