Member’s Day Plant Sale

Our annual Member’s Day Plant Sale is one of the most beloved events at the Garden. As always, our valued Members enjoy early access to a wonderful range of plants for sale, with Fairchild horticulturists onsite to answer questions and offer expert insights.
Started over 80 years ago by Dr. David Fairchild himself, this annual celebration of plant life remains a rare opportunity to purchase unique plants cultivated right here at Fairchild – many of them only available at this one-day event.
Members can arrive at 8:30 a.m. and get a 90-minute head start on their plant shopping, with tours of our Tropical Plant Conservatory and Rare Plant House offered at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Each year leading up to our annual Member’s Day Plant Sale, you can take advantage of a 20% discount on plants in our online store. This year, the Garden is offering the online discount from 9/26 – 10/3.
Quantities are limited. Please bring a wagon or cart to transport plants home.
And we have so many Garden adventures to enjoy! Meet hundreds of spectacular butterflies at Wings of the Tropics, our exotic butterfly exhibit, relax while your little ones run, play and explore at the Children’s Garden, explore the only tropical rainforest in the continental US, and so much more!
