This 1-day class has been especially developed for the returning student who has already take an encaustics class with Andrea and who would like to continue to further their encaustic skills.
This class will focus upon the different methods used to create and build up texture within the encaustic piece. Texture building techniques such as accretion, painting with a pallet knife, incising, adding natural elements and fibers (such as flattened dried plants, sand, burlap, string) and stencils will all be explored. Participants will take home 1 encaustic piece that they have created and are welcome to incorporate photos if so desired.
Notice at Registration: If you would like to incorporate a photo into your encaustic piece, please contact Andrea ASAP after registration for instructions. Andrea will print your photo for you and bring it on the first day of class. Andrea can be reached at andreaclement305@comcast.net

There is a $20 materials fee paid directly to the instructor on the first day of class.
Tickets are nonrefundable. This class runs rain or shine.
