Tropical vines are important components of tropical forests, but their rambling growth can make them unruly in a garden. Our 700-foot-long Vine Pergola is our answer to this problem. Based on similar structures Dr. David Fairchild observed in botanic gardens overseas, ours is a historic stone and wood arbor supporting many kinds of vines that bloom in different seasons. Stroll underneath the Pergola on every visit, and you will be rewarded throughout the year with some of the world’s most incredible flowers. A dedicated group of volunteers keeps the vines tidy and well-behaved.
