Fairchild offers professional development courses for educators focusing on botany, ecology, and South Florida natural history. Courses are designed to increase your knowledge and understanding of the importance of plants, plant uses, and conservation efforts for the future.
Tropical Botany Summer AbroadCosta Rica
Date: June 9 - 14, 2025
Fairchild’s 2nd international educator professional development unites educators and local plant conservationists to provide teachers an opportunity to globalize their classrooms! This immersive week long takes you to El Bosque Nuevo, a small butterfly farm located in the town of Santa Cecilia, Costa Rica. Application and trip details available December 2, 2024. *Must be a current MDCPS educator and fluent Spanish Speaker to apply.
