SATURDAY, MAY 30

7:00 – 10:30 pm

Live jazz, played the way it should be felt

Tropical Jazz in a Tropical Garden

Part of Fairchild’s Concert Series

Cuban trombonist Julio Montalvo plays what he describes as New Latin Jazz: the rhythms of Son, Mambo, and Timba folded into modern jazz, funk, and soul. The trombone carries the melody; the percussion carries the night.
It’s celebratory music, made for dancing.

At Fairchild, At Fairchild, Julio Montalvo and his band play it outdoors, in the Garden. Close enough to hear the breath in the horn, the strike of the drum, the call and response between players.

Stay on your feet or take a table. Either way, you’re inside the sound.
