Education Volunteers

Education volunteers guide students of all ages on explorations of the Garden. Volunteers help students learn about the importance of plants and botany. Explorer program volunteers need to be available from 9:15 a.m to 1:15 p.m on the same weekday each week for the school year.

Volunteers guide groups of students in grades K-12 as they explore Fairchild together. The three programs, “Native Ecosystems”, “Rainforest”, and “Living Labs: Science at Fairchild” introduce students to botany basics, as students discover Fairchild’s world-renowned plant collections. Volunteers work outdoors, as a part of a team, to guide students on a botanical adventure.
