Internships and Scholarships

The Fairchild Challenge invites high school students to apply for our 6-week paid summer internships beginning mid-June through late July. Interns will have the opportunity to assist Fairchild scientists with ongoing research using cutting-edge technologies and working towards publishable results. Interns in the past have grown orchids, learned genetic techniques, grown plants for NASA, and more. Must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the internship and be a Fairchild Challenge or Botany@Fairchild BioTECH high school student. To learn more click hereUpdated February 1, 2023.

Fairchild is dedicated to making sure all schools have the resources necessary to conduct environmental science activities in the classroom. Although we cannot fund everything, we can help schools find funding within the community. Check out these opportunities!
