Ivory Coast Almond

Terminalia ivorensis

Range: África Occidental

This large forest tree from West Africa is a new introduction to Florida. It is grown in its native range and in other parts of the tropics as a high-value timber tree. It becomes tall, up to 150 feet, with a straight trunk. We do not yet know how this species will perform in South Florida, but it appears to be adaptable to many different growing conditions.
