Range: Central & East Africa

This spectacular flowering tree grows well in South Florida and blooms in the winter and springtime. It is grown as an ornamental tree throughout the tropics, where it often escapes cultivation and can become invasive. Here it does not appear to be invasive, and it makes a magnificent street tree of shade tree in landscapes with adequate space.
