This handsome native shrub grows naturally in South Florida’s hardwood hammock habitats. It has become a popular garden plant and can be found in many residential and public landscapes. Incredibly adaptable, it thrives in sun or shade and can tolerate poor soil and periods of drought. It bears attractive white flowers and red-orange fruit that attracts birds.
