This stately palm is easy to grow in South Florida and makes a great landscape specimen. It develops a smooth, brown, ringed trunk topped by a crown of graceful, fan-shaped leaves. There are many species of Livistona found in Southeast Asia and Australia with a few isolated species in Africa and the Pacific Islands.
