Borhidi palm

Coccothrinax borhidiana

Range: Cuba

This is one of many incredible palms that are only found naturally in Cuba. Restricted to a small patch of coastal habitat in the western part of the island, it is critically endangered. Although it grows very slowly, it is a distinctive and attractive landscape specimen under the right conditions. It grows best with bright light and dry, rocky soil.
