Range: S. Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean & Central America 

Pigeonplum is a native tree that is common in South Florida’s hardwood hammock habitat. It is ecologically important, supporting many native animals including birds and rare butterflies. It makes an excellent shade tree for residential and public landscapes, and its peeling bark is unusual and attractive.
