There are hundreds of Clerodendrum species in the tropics, and many are attractive trees, shrubs, or vines that make excellent garden plants. This flowering shrub is widely grown for its bright, red-orange flowers. In South Florida gardens it blooms year-round and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Growing and spreading quickly, it needs tobe contained or managed carefully in the landscape.
