Creeping inchplant

Callisia repens

Range: Caribbean, Central and South America

Native to the Caribbean region and Tropical America, this succulent groundcover grows very well in South Florida. Although it does not appear to be native here, it has escaped from cultivation and established itself in several parts of our region. It should be managed carefully to prevent it from spreading into natural areas. There are several different color forms available, and some are popular as houseplants.
