This slow-growing, native tree is an excellent landscape plant and bonsai specimen. Its delicate branches and tiny leaves make it look like a miniature forest tree. Eventually it can grow to a height of 40 feet. Here in South Florida, spiny black olive trees are easy to grow and require little maintenance.
