Foxtail palm

Wodyetia bifurcata

Range: Queensland, Australia

The foxtail palm comes from a very isolated and unique rainforest habitat in northeastern Australia. First introduced in the 1980s, it has since become very popular. It’s arching, feathery leaves are spectacular, and bears attractive clusters of red egg-shaped fruit. Unfortunately it is not well adapted to our alkaline soil, and can be difficult to grow.

Palma cola de zorro

Wodyetia bifurcata
