Range: Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Islands

Most tropical orchids grow on the branches of trees, but this species grows in soil. Here in South Florida it makes a great bedding plant for light shade, and it blooms year-round. There are several color forms available, from white to purple-pink to yellow and everything in between.
