This lovely palm is unusual in its small stature, slender stems, and ability to form clusters of multiple stems. It is grown worldwide as an indoor houseplant, but here in South Florida it is used outdoors as an indestructible privacy screen. Once established, it can be difficult to contain, as it spreads aggressively by underground stems.
