Cassias are some of the most spectacular tropical flowering trees, with seasonal, dramatic bursts of color. This species, the golden shower tree, is planted as a street tree and landscape tree throughout the tropics. In South Florida and the Caribbean, it is durable and easy to grow. Once established, it produces an abundance of golden-yellow flowers in the springtime.
