Share and get creative along with other fellow artists under the guidance of Carlos Gallostra in our live seven-day Painting Studio: From Portraits to Florals. Designed for beginners and seasoned artists alike, this figurative painting workshop positions the participant to explore subject matter ranging from portraits, landscapes, and florals. Using your own photo reference as the muse , you will learn how to effectively develop your subject in oil paint through tailored mentoring and critiquing. Students already working in acrylic are also welcomed. The workshop introduces the student to a step-by-step process that facilitates capturing the subject from the initial contour to the fully rendered form in tonal value and color. Topics discussed will range from ideas on observation, measurement, color mixing and expressive mark making. Through in depth investigation, the students will employ a signature approach towards crafting their own masterwork.
