Come add a little bit of color to your weekend with our collection of orchid varieties! Take a stroll throughout our garden, snap a few great pictures of our blooms, and capture their beauty through art. Bring your favorite reference and under the guidance of Carlos Gallostra, you will develop dynamic illustrative compositions from life in oil or acrylic. Learn and master techniques including layering, blending, and color mixing. All levels are welcome!

Tickets are nonrefundable. This class runs rain or shine. A ticket to this class serves as entry to the Garden, and the Orchids in October event, for the whole day of Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Instructor biography: Carlos Gallostra is a representational artist whose practice has been shaped under numerous celebrated mentors in the U.S. and Italy throughout the years. He holds a B.F.A. from the prestigious New World School of the Arts of Miami, where he has taught over the past ten years, as well as an M.F.A. and an M.S. from the Pratt Institute of New York. In addition, he has furthered his studies at various ateliers, academies, and museums throughout the U.S. and abroad. Next to crafting his work, he takes great joy in imparting ideas, approaches, and helping his students find their voices in the arts.
