Member's Day Celebration

We appreciate our members and want to celebrate all things Native Orchids with you during our Member’s Day Celebration taking place Saturday, October 24.

What’s Happening!

• Members can purchase beautiful and rare orchids from The Million Orchid Project
• Our Million Orchid Project Restoration Kit, which includes 32 orchid seedlings and attachment materials, will be available for 50% off regular the price only on October 24 and as an in-Garden purchase.
• You can join our Million Orchid Project citizen science initiative
• Plant and Collection Tours and how-to’s with our experts will also take place all day
• Meet and greet all day by the Garden Director
• Experience Orchid Music…Florida Native Orchid DNA Sonified.
  • Ten small, self-powered, outdoor player-speaker units, will be arranged in the open-air, projecting music based on the DNA sequence of ten Florida native orchid species.
  • This project is supported by the FETA Foundation, University of Miami, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
