Join Daniel Calzadilla, a passionate apiarist, and Virginia Ansaldi, an enthusiastic environmental educator, for a 2-hour informative and hands-on workshop. Understand the ins and outs of pollination and the critical role of bees and all pollinators in ecosystem services and agriculture.

You will also learn how to begin your apiary – the equipment needed, rules and regulations, and what to expect in your first year. Then, enjoy a plant walk of the Fairchild’s South Florida Butterfly Garden to ID the best plants for pollinators and how to build a habitat for all pollinators. Finish with a surprise fun activity!
