Join Ray Kincaid, Miami Bonsai Society member to learn the basics of the ancient art form of bonsai. Learn the history of bonsai, understand the basic care and maintenance of growing a bonsai tree, explore the tools used to create bonsai and learn the styles and rules that govern styling a bonsai tree. Each participant will receive a bonsai tree to work with and take home!  No prior experience needed.

The price of the plant you can take home is included in the cost of admission.

Instructor Bio: Ray Kinkaid studied both Architecture and Computer Science at Miami-Dade College. He has used his skills as an architectural draftsman, florist and also in the field of computer science, telecommunications, furniture refinishing, photography and as a Porsche Mechanic assistant. He is a member of several local societies including the Bonsai Society of Miami 2006, Gold Coast Bonsai Society, Lighthouse Bonsai Society, Bonsai Society of Florida and TFEPS in Fairchild. He has owned his own small bonsai nursery since 2013.

Tickets are nonrefundable. This class runs rain or shine.
